The story of UBRD began under the Brdy forests. Founders Jiří Krůta and Vojtěch Hrach have always been patriots who fell in love with the Brdy Mountains. They gained their first experience with the craft as boys while renovating old pedal Favorit bicycles. Their love of wood eventually led them to the idea of ​​producing wooden products for the home — ones that would be beautiful, practical, and designed with feeling. Renowned designer Petr Novague played a crucial role in the journey to the best combination of design and function. The result of the collaboration was products that quickly gained attention – and also international recognition in the form of the iF DESIGN AWARD and Red Dot Design Award.
